10 minutes from Beijing Airport — step inside a working restoration studio where master conservators repair China's treasures. Perfect for layovers!
Piecing Together Fragments of Time, Bringing History Back to Life
★ Just 10 minutes from Beijing Capital International Airport — the perfect layover experience!
Got a long layover in Beijing? Make the most of it.
Instead of sitting in an airport lounge for 6 hours, step into a world few outsiders ever see — a working cultural heritage restoration center where over 50 master conservators devote their careers to repairing China’s most precious artifacts. And the best part? It’s only 10 minutes from Beijing Capital International Airport, inside the Airport Bonded Zone.
No need to travel into central Beijing. No need to navigate traffic. Just step off your plane, take a 10-minute shuttle, and find yourself standing in front of master conservators repairing artifacts that are thousands of years old.
This is not a museum. It is a living workshop.
The Beijing Leshi Cultural Heritage Conservation and Restoration Center is a professional institution backed by state-owned enterprises. Its team includes retired specialists from the National Museum of China, the Palace Museum (Forbidden City), the Capital Museum, the Hubei Provincial Museum, and the Tianjin Museum.
To date, the Center has restored more than 10,000 sets of cultural relics — including over 1,000 Grade I national treasures — for institutions such as the National Museum of China, Sanxingdui Museum, the Three Gorges Museum, Tibet Museum, and the Jiangkou Sunken Silver archaeological project.
And now, you can step inside.
